I am looking forward to reading more in this series as well as following this author’s work to see what other adventures she will take me on. The author did an incredible job with this story, I love “end of the world” movie/book scenarios, even though most of the plot lines have been replayed in a million different ways…well this is a new one and for that alone it made it an awesome book for me. I have truly enjoyed every page of this book. Together they must see where they end up and what the future holds. As the story progresses they find their romance at the center of a war taking place between powers far past their control with outcomes that they cannot control.
These two characters have a connection from the start, even though they can’t see it, you as the reader can. While he was completely set on achieving his goals in any way possible, there was one thing he wasn’t counting on and that was the attraction of the lovely Violette. In this book we follow Onyx on his quest that he has been assigned to penetrate a religious community and gather intel for an upcoming war. The world around them is one you can see and experience well through the description of the author and you will find yourself playing the story in your mind like a movie. While I was interested in what the story could be like from the description, nothing prepared me for the story within the covers.įrom the beginning you are pulled into this multi-dimensional world where the characters are two-fold in most cases, all battling outside forces as well as personal demons within.
